It is easier to play the victim than to hold ourselves accountable for the part we play in our misfortunes. Indeed, we often play victims because it provides us artificial safety and comfort. It also makes us the “good one”, boosting our ego a little.
So, we see genuine mistakes of others as actions done to intentionally hurt us. We blow minuscule issues out proportion. We keep reminiscing on the painful memories that made us feel betrayed. We reject other perspectives when addressing the issues. We see constructive criticisms as attacks. We expect sympathy from others, and when they don’t respond the way we want them to, we get angry and even see them traitors.
ENOUGH. No one else is responsible for the unhappiness we feel. So, let’s stop dwelling on the past and embrace the present. Let’s stop blaming others and take full responsibility for the part we played. Even if what happened to us was completely beyond our control, it is our responsibility to step into our power and reclaim full responsibility for our happiness.
We are not victims. We are thriving survivors.

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”― Friedrich Nietzsche
Well, there is a constant upbeat melody playing in my head, so I am always dancing (Literally). In other words, I am a big ball of energy most of the time, and I live for prodiguous moments I can’t put into words.
I am a spiritual and adventurous woman with endless supply of energy and also an amateur at many things, dancing, writing, cooking, filmmaking, etc… I also have an insatiable thirst for learning, traveling, meeting new people and listening to their stories with gratitude, respect and attention.
I was born and raised in Haiti but became a nomad at 15, when I moved to USA, an experience that changed my sense of who I am as an individual. Consequently, I am now navigating through life independently in Europe. I like to put myself in new and intriguing places, and activate my brain in new ways through interesting and meaningful conversations with others.
I have spiritual outlook about everything. I also firmly believe that God created me to be a valuable addition to mankind, to use my time, talents and energy to serve others and affect their lives positively. This is what drives my daily efforts. I am still learning how to be useful, but in the process, I want to share with you the collection of outrageous stories that is my life.
Let’s journey together!!!
